Burnby Hall; September 2012

One weekend which brings back some great memories is Burnby Hall in picturesque town called Pocklington. Alan organised the meet up, a group of us put our buses on display one Saturday afternoon and Sunday, with us having the gardens to ourselves on the sat night!

The weekend started off with a group of us meeting at Bry n Shels near Sunny Scunny, Me, Michelle & Ellie, Bern & Jenny, Zoe & Paley and Woody & Lou. Great Friday night, few beers, fire pit and lots of laughs started the weekend just great!

The usual mending of buses took place on the Saturday morning, nothing new there!

Later in the day we had a cruise over the Humber Bridge to meet up with Alan & Tina then on to Burnby Hall to meet up with everyone else who was joining us. Great to see six Late Bays heading over’th bridge!

Onto the Hall and Gardens, really nice place to head to for the day out, nice, scenic gardens, huge lake with lots of fish, kids playground, tea rooms, what’s not to like! http://www.burnbyhallgardens.com/

Meeting us there was Ste & the kids, Andy, Debbie, Ellie & Millie, Bugcatcher Phil & Lyndsey, pkrboo (Matt) & family and a guy called Louis. Brilliant turnout!

All in all, one most memorable weekend, great bunch of people, its a real shame the we haven’t had a gathering there since. The people who visited Burnby all loved the display we put on, as did the staff who worked there!
