Techenders is a weekend of tinkering where the Latebay guys n gals mend our buses over in Leicestershire at Eddys place, Victoria Farm. Great location for a gathering, close to the M69 and into the countryside.
Always a good turnout, someone has always got something to do, fix the motor?
Eddy usually puts a few barrels of Doom Bar on, which goes down quickly and very well!
Rick off TLB usually organises Techenders, anyone is welcome, Split Screens, Early Bays, Lates and so on. It really doesn’t matter! Its very easy going, you can sit and chill out if you want to, muck in and help out, no pressure! Its a back to basics weekend, down to earth camping. Matt does bring PopTop Kitchen along and cook us some really tasty grub 🙂
The second of the years Techenders has passed us by, the weekend 23rd to 25th September, we had a turnout of 41 buses, excellent turnout!
The weather was great, one or two doing some work whilst others socialised – I chose the latter and chilled out with a bunch of great people!
Lord Congi’s bus saw a few of us gather round watching the footie, no idea who was playing but Faust, Flakey, Baysearcher, Bern, Geordie & Congi look enthralled by it all 🙂
As always, the meet was held at Victoria Farm, Eddy and Jackie making us all very welcome!
Alex took her very rare “Landmark” edition bus, which is one of a very limited edition run of tintops, seen here in white with brown, others had blue colour schemes. Congi has one of these buses too, here in the UK.
The first Techenders of 2017 took place over the weekend of 21st to the 23rd April 2017 and yet again saw an excellent attendance, some really nice buses I must add!
The weather was great over Victoria Farm, the sun shone over us all and as always, Simon had a plan in mind..Sean bled his brakes whilst myself, John and Dave of Congi fame chilled out with a cold beer or two listening to the football!
After last years Techenders, I mentioned a very rare conversion, the Landmark, well Lord Congi took his down, again having the brown stripes rather than blue, it was a great opportunity to see it!
Other work going on included Bob sorting out a pair of driving lamps, thebusmonkey Neil offering valuable advice on solar panel set ups, add us to the list and aside to that, friendly banter, relaxation and general chilling out!
As always, it was good to get away and chill out!
